The statistical line chart displays weekly food consumption including fish and other types of meats in a European nation in 5-year intervals, starting from 1979, measured in grams per person.
As indicated in the graph, it is reported for beef, lamb and fish to have a tendency to drop over the period despite beef seemed to be the most preferrable product at the beginning of the period. It is also worth mentioning that chicken tended to increase significantly and became popular in Europe’s recipes.
As transparent from the data, beef shown its starting point at over 200 grams per person per week. After that, this figure had a fluctuation to 1984 before falling gradually to around 100 grams in 2004. Moving to the consumption of chicken, the amount of chicken consumed was around 150 grams at the beginning of the period. Subsequently, a remarkable growth to nearly 250 grams was recorded to be the consumption of chicken.
Another considerable feature is lamb which held a similar beginning point with beef, approximately 250 grams. Then, there was a mild fluctuation from 1984 to 1999 before falling to just over 70 grams in 2004. Noticeably, around 60 grams of fish was reported to be consumed by Europe’s inhabitants in 1979 in spite of having a slight decrease to about 50 grams 5 years later. From 1984 to the end of the period, the amount of fish consumption experienced a stability.
