The given line graph illustrates the amount of fish and three sorts of meat consumed per person weekly in a European nation during the period between 1979 and 2004.

Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the figures of the chicken’s consumption witnessed upward trajectories throughout the period in question, while the opposite was not true for beef, lamp and fish. In addition, chicken tended to replace beef as the first choice of consumers in the second half of the period.

In terms of the utilization of fish and three different types of meat in the year 1979, there has been the lowest figure in the quantity of fish’s consumption, while this counted double for chicken and lamb, with the former at roughly 140 grams and the latter at precisely 150 grams. Besides, the grams of beef was absorbed approximately at 220 grams per head per week as the highest data.

Looking at the grams of beef and chicken eaten in the year 2004, there has been a dramatic decline in the ingestion of beef, whereas the amount of chicken recorded a significant increase to the end of period at around 240 grams. Moreover, fish was still the least favorite food for purchasers, achieved its trough of about 30 grams in 1999 and finished at nearly 40 grams in 2004.
