The line graph illustrates the production of electricity in terawatt hours in France from 1980 to 2012.

Overall, it is clear that nuclear energy has highest electricity production over the period as compared to other sources . Hydroelectric and renewable energy faced notable fluctuations .

In 1980 to 2006, there is no production of electricity through renewable . It rose swiftly from 2005. However , hydroelectric production remained stable from 1990 to 2012, despite facing minor variations over the period. Moreover, thermal energy showed its peak in 1993, slightly lower than thermal energy and than its production has fallen by 60 terawatt hours over the years .

Interestingly, nuclear energy followed the same path throughout out the years . Surprisingly , its production has increased five times between 1980 to 2012.
