This graph shows the information about the proportion of unemployed woman in four countries of the United Kingdom between 2013 and 2014.
Overall, what is stand out from the graph is that there were marginal downward trends in the unemployment rate of female workers in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, while this number in Scotland saw a slight increase over the period in question. Another interesting point is that England had the highest rate of the unemployed woman in 2013, but in 2014, Scotland took over this place.
Looking at the details, as regards Wales, the rate started at 5.4% in 2013, as the lowest value among the four countries, but then dropped to 5% in 2013. If we look at Northern Ireland, the trend was similar. There was only 5.6% of Jobless women in 2013, and this number decreased to 4.6% in 2014, the lowest proportion in the United Kingdom.
By contrast, the female unemployment rate in Scotland went in the opposite direction. It was initially 6.1% in 2013 and then went up to the nationwide peak of 6.7% in 2014.
