According to the graph, most of the wastes were disposed by landfill method in 2005 while, the amount of waste burned were less in 2008. Approximately, two thousand million tonnes of wastes were discarded by landfill method in 2005, whereas the figure showed a successive significant fall by 400 million tonnes in 2006 and 2008 respectively.
Although the amount of waste burned were nine hundred million tonnes in 2005, it increased slightly to one thousand two hundred million tonnes in 2006, furthur decreasing dramatically to nine hundred million tonnes in 2008. However, the waste dumped in sea have been increased by two hundred million tonnes in 2006 and 2008 from 1200 million tonnes in 2005.tonnes in 2008.
