The given line graph illustrates the number of overseas tourists to 3 various regions in an unknown nation within Europe from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, the quantity of tourists to all the 3 areas increased over the course of 20 years. It is also noticeable that the coast was the location attracting the most visitors.
In 1987, the coast had 40,000 tourists as the highest figure. The numbers of visitors to the mountains and lakes were half of and one fourth of that number respectively. During 1992 and 1997, the tourists to the coast and lakes rose steadily. The tourists to the mountains also experienced a slight rise, from around 25,000 to exactly 30,000 despite a fall in the middle of this period.
In 2002, there was a similar pattern in the number of tourists to the coast and mountains: both of them grew gradually. The visitors to the lakes peaked at about 75,000 in this year. In the final year, the number of coastal visitors stood at the top level, and that of the tourists to the lakes was about 25,000 fewer, standing at the second position. The number of the visitors to the mountainous areas was at the last level, at around 35,000 in spite of its steady growth.
