The line graph illustrates the differences in the number of people visiting the specific Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.
In general, the number of tourists has increased significantly over the period. In 2010, there was a total number of visitors of 1 million which grew rapidly up to more than 2,5 millions in 2015. After that, it did not experience any changes until 2016 when people became more interested. Eventually, it ended up with approximately 3,5 millions of visitors in 2017.
However, there were two groups of people who preferred staying either on ships or on the island, that accounted for 0,75 and 0,25 respectively in the beginning of the period. In 2011, the number of island visitors started to rise, whereas trips on ships slightly decreased and then started to go up in 2012. Despite the fact that tourism on cruise ships was increasing in 2013, the other group was remaining the same. In 2015, the pattern became the opposite, finishing with 2 millions of cruise ships trips and 1,5 of the other group.
In conclusion, although staying on the island was more interesting than staying on ships until 2015, people started travelling on ships more than staying on land in 2016.
