The given line graph illustrates the number of a Caribbean island's visitors in a period of seven years.

It is clear that the total tourists chose to visit the island increased steadily from 2010 to 2017. While the trend of spending holiday on the island fluctuated throughout the period, cruise ships gradually became a more popular choice toward visitors.

In 2010, 75% of travellers enjoyed staying on the island to relax, compared to only 25% whose stayed on cruise ships. There was a substantial growth by 750.000 people who stayed on island between 2011 and 2013, before the figure remainded the same level in the following 3 years. The number of tourists staying on island went down at around 1,25 million people but continued to go up to 1,5 million in 2017.

By constrast, the number of visitors cruising experienced a significant rise for most of the years, apart from a slight decrease by quarter million from 2011 to 2012. There are 2 million tourists choosing to stay on ships, contributing approximately 60% of the total tourists vacationing in the island at the end of the period shown.
