The line graph illustrates the figure of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in a particular city through three means of communication between January and June in the year 2011.
Overall, during the period,the enquiry numbers for in person and by telephone show rapidly rose.However, the trend for by telephone underwent quick drop. The number of questions sent by email and letter decreased over six months of period.
In the beginning, approximately 800 telephone enquiries were sent to the Tourist Information Office, compared to around half of that made in person. Whereas, the figure for letters and emails was slightly lower, with 600 enquiries received. Over the next two months, the telephone still remained the most popular method of enquiry, exactly at 900 queries by March.
In the last three months, the rise in the figures by telephone and in person was also witnessed at nearly 1200 enquiries, over 1000 enquiries respectively when the trend for both lines reached a peak in June.By contrast, over 6 months since January, the quantity of questions was transmitted by email/ letter go down dramatically and hitted the lowest point at 200 queries.
