The graph depicts the percentage of different kinds of materials that were recycled from the year 1989 to 2010 in a particular
country. The recycling rate is denoted in percentage.
On analyzing the graph,the plastics were least recycled and it has only started from the year 1989 to 2009.It was only a gradual increase but never had spikes or lows.The next material recycled is the aluminium cans which was started in the year 1984 and inclined towards the year 2010.
The next material which generally had began recycling from the year 1982 is the glass containers.It declined in the year 1988 and had gradual increase towards the year 2010.The last material which was recycled at a greater percentage since year 1982 is the paper and cardboard.It had spikes and lows throughout the year from 1989 to 2010.It was the only material which maintained the recycling rate in the country.
The overall recycling rate has gradually increased throughout the year even though there was highs and lows. This shows that people are aware of the need for recycling the products and its benefits to the environment.
