The line graph illustrates the percentage of the population aged 65 and over from 1940 to 2040 in Japan, Sweden and the USA.
Overall, the population above 65 age of three countries are increased over the period of century. Althoght the three trends are similar in terms of a general raise, the population 65 age and above is more different than Sweden and the USA.
In the 1940-1980 period, the population of 65 age and more in Sweden and the US are gradual increase at about 15%. In Sweden, the 1980s and the period from 2010s-2020s are slightly declined approximately 1% of the figure of people from above 65 age. In the other hand, the USA maintains the same level in 1980-2020.The percentage of Over 65 age American start to climb in the year 2020 up to around 25%. After the America a period of 10 years, Sweden also go up to 25% in 2040.
Over the period, the population of Japanese of 65 years old and more vary more significantly than American and Swedens. In 1940 - 1960, it was a small down. By contrast, it starts go up to 10% by the year 2030 before reach to highest line in 2040.
