The table give information about the percentage of schoolchild is present at specialist, grammar, Voluntary-controlled and community schools from the year of 2000 to the year of 2009.

Overall, Voluntary-controlled schools had been more popular than the others schools but they went down steadily. In comparison, the community school had been increased rapidly then became the most common choice for school enrollment.

To begin with, voluntary-cotrolled schools had the highest percentage with 52% in 2000. By 2009, they fell down just over a half to only 20%. Similarly, grammar schools had dropped by twice in the same period. As can be seen, the relatively small percentage of pupils attending to specialist schools (12%) also fell , although not significantly.

On the other hand, community is the only schools type grew up. they rose approximately five times between 2000 and 2009. 58% of the secondary students attended community schools, whereas the voluntary-controlled schools attendance rate declined further to 20%.
