The given line chart illustrates the differences and alternatives in trade profits of three distinct kind of book: children's book, adult fiction and educational books during a period of 6 years from 2002 to 2006.
Overall, book for children and education related underwent an upward trend whereas, adult fiction had a dramatic decrease.
In 2002, adult fiction was on top with a sale of 45 million dollars, followed by children's book at 33 million dollars and educational books at 25 million dollars. After some fluctuations, the money derived from selling adult novel plunged to 30 million dollars in 2006. In contrast, with the third place in the beginning, educational books passed adult fiction with the number of sale revenue of 32 million dollars in 2006, despite of a drop in the medium period of the research.
Although the fluctuation of two kind of books mentioned above, children's book witnessed a constant increase during the research. In particular, the sale of this category of books stood at 32 million dollars in 2002 before rose sharply to 42 million dollars in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, there was a slight growth in sale of children's book by 5 million dollars, but by the end, sales soar to 66 million dollars, which archived the first place.
