The line charts illustrate the emissions of UK acid rain from four different sectors namely transport and education, electricity, gas and water supply, and domestic and other industries from 1990 to 2007.

Overall, it can be seen that most of the four sectors witnessed a dramatically decreased while transport and education had a partial growth in 17 years starting from 1990

In 1990, electricity gas and water supply by far the highest tones at around 3,5 million tonnes while domestic only contribution the lowest point at over 0,5 million tonnes. After 6 years, we witnessed a sharp decline in 4 sectors, surprisingly the figures for electricity, gas, and supply and others industries decreased nearly twofold to 1,5 billion. Moreover, the figures for domestic and transport and communication are quite similar at nearly 1 million tonnes in 1997.

By 2003, it is noticeable that the percentage of Uk acid rains emission in other industries, electricity, gas, and water supply and domestic reached the lowest point at under 1,5 million tones, 0,5 billion tones and under 0,5 billion tones respectively. In contrast, while 3 out of 4 sectors also go down gradually, transport and communication had the opposite changes, which reach a peak at 1 million tonnes in 2005.
