The given line graph depicts the information about the number of memberships of gym given to both genders namely gents and ladies in the time period of three decades from 1980 to 2010.
As is observed in the graph, in the very beginning the number of memberships was a just about 1000 for ladies whereas it was approximately double 2000 for gents. In the year 1985, both showed an inclining trend and reached at about 1500 for females and about 4000 for males. Some fluctuations were noticed up to the year 1990. After half decade, the figure for men decreased by almost 2500 while it increased for other gender by almost 1500.
Moving forward, the digit of males getting membership rapidly increased and the figure change from about 1500 to 2500 however it gradually deceased for females. In 2005, the number of men gym membership was at the peak with 5000 but for women it was just 3000. In the last phase, the number of gym membership dropped to less than 1000 and about 2000 for males and females respectively.
Overall, it is clear that to the graph showed a lot of ups and downs as in the starting, there were more memberships for males as compared to females but in the last it changed and demonstrated the lowest figure for men membership.
