The graph shows the percentage of UK adolescents following a vegetarian diet.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features.
The line graph reflects the popularity of a vegeterian diet among UK teenagers from 1960 uptil now and provides projections until 2020.
Overall, it is shown that there are two main periods for interests in vegetarianism among young people in the UK: one peaking around 1981 and another projected to peak 32 years later, in 2013.
Between 1960 and 1980, the figure rose dramatically from around just 1% to the all-time peak at slightly higher than 15%. Within the next decade, however, this was followed by an almost linear drop totaled 7%. In the following ten years, the figure went through mild fluctuations with the lowest point standing at 4.8% before resuming to a more upward trend in the 2000s.
By 2013, around 11% of UK teenagers were following a vegetarian diet. The projection until 2020 suggests that the figure will decrease slightly within the next 5 years before levelling off at the end of the decade.
