During this time the rate did not fall steadily. After every drop of more than 1%, it shows an increase of 0.5% in the same year.
The rate of unemployment of Japan shows an entirely different trend compared to the US. Its first recording in March 1993 was almost 2.5 percent. Till 1998, the percentage increased slightly till it reached its peak of more than 5%. The value dropped again but later stabilized at 5% in the year 1999.
