The graphs above show the types of gifts that men and women in the USA buy for each other on Valentine’s Day.
The pie charts demonstrate various purchases that females and males made for each other in percentage in a specific country for the celebrations of 14th of February. Looking from an overall perspective, both men and women were likely to buy cards for their partners.
Females majorly purchased candies and cards (roughly a quarter) for Valentine’s Day, while males chose to buy flowers (nearly 20%) alongside cards. Additionally, according to the graph, only 11% of females were detected to buy flowers while the level of men is much higher (16%). Less preferred item as a present was jewellery which indicated to be almost a tenth in each chart in the USA. Both genders bought personal care services as a gift for their companions and the tendency for purchasing a spa appointment was not as popular as acquiring a perfume respectively. Exactly a quarter of objects that men obtained for women were not revealed in the data. Even though it was illustrated as a small minority, the amount of lingerie purchased was approximately 8%.
In conclusion, the most common presents given were observed to be cards and snacks despite the fact that people were significantly less inclined to acquire personal care and cologne for their partners in the United States of America.
