The graphs below show current rates of secondary and higher education among people in various parts of the world

The bar charts below illustrated the current percentage of male and female living in four regions participating in secondary and higher education. Generally, the rates of secondary education among school-aged population is much higher.

The most striking difference in the graph is extreme height of the Europe bar relative to other regions in both sections. Nearly every school-aged girls in Europe attend schools and this percentage for boys is roughly 90%, ninefold the number in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Even though it is not as significant as in the secondary education graph, Europe is still the area with the highest rates of post-secondary education with nearly half the adult population. Meanwhile, around two in ten adult Sub-Saharan Africans have this education level.

In Latin America and East Asia, the number is quite similar in both sections. About half of the school-aged population go to school and nearly 30% adult have tertiary education.
