The two-line graphs demonstrate a comparison between foreign and local students who enrolled in the university in Australia the year between 2001 and 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the graphs is that in both cases the number of total scholar grew over time but after a certain time the number of local students remained level of. On the other hand, in the case of commencing, the two lines are different from each other.
To begin with the total figure, in 2001, the number of overseas pupils was 20, 000, while the number was doubled in the case of local students. Then over the years, the number of foreign pupils rose linearly till the end. In 2004, 2007, 2010 the number was twice, thrice and four times than the beginning value respectively. Turning to the local scholar, according to the graph the number rose gradually up to 2007 and at that time the value was 60, 0000. Then it remained the same value the rest of the time.
For overseas pupils, the value upgraded slowly and in 2006 the value crossed the 20000 borderline and after 3 years the value rose twice than the previous numerical number and in the next year, the value slightly increased. After that, the local pupil, the peak value was 220000 in 2002 then it drifted off and after 2006 the value fluctuates till the end.
