The graphs show average temperature and rainfall in two places in South Africa
The trends of the graphs showing characteristics of the climate somewhat vary between Cape Town and Upington, both are areas in South Africa. The average monthly rainfall in Cape Town increases steadily to peak halfway through the year with the highest recorded in June, from this point onwards the rain starts decreasing to reach its lowest in November whereas in Upington there is a lot more perceptation in general, reaching averages of over 180mm compared to less than a 100 at its best in Cape Town.
Additionally the statistics of rain in Upington looks almost as it is Cape Town's but inversed, being high at the beginning of the year and rising until March when it starts to fall rapidly until July followed by a stable record then starts to rise again in October. Temprature wise, however, there are considerably more similarities. In both areas the heat drops in summer, although it is rather colder in Upington then rises during winter. The overall change however is much more gradual in Cape Town. While it starts to become warmer in Upington from August especially when looking at the maximum temperatures, there is nearly no difference in the weather from June through to August in Cape Town.
Temprature differences are also more extreme in Upnigton throughout the year ranging from 36 at its maximum in winter to as low as 5 degrees at its lowest in summer compared to a range between 27 and 7 in Cape Town.
