Households owning and renting accommodation in England and Wales 1918 to 2011

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of house owning and renting in England and wales over the 1918s.
Overall, the percentage of owning house in England and Wales increased significantly over 93 years from the 1918s, meanwhile an opposite trend was observed by the group of those who renting house during that same period. Meanwhile, the biggest percentage of users during the 1918s came from the group of rented accommodations, which were more than three- quarters. This number, after that, dropped with a small change to 68% and then stabled during the years from 1939 to 1953 before decreasing magnificently to approximately 31% in 2001, though it was risen back by 14% after a decade later in 2011.
