IELTS WRITING TASK 1

The pie charts depict the percentage of time each individual spent during a day of their working day in a particular region in 1958 and 2008.
At the first sight, one-third of the time budget was spent on work which was 33% in 1958 then increased to 42, % in 2008. The second place is sleeping accounting for 32% in 1958 then declined to 25% after five decades. Besides, there is a huge difference between the two charts - the time for gathering with family or friends rapidly decreased by 13% from 19% to 6%. In contrast, a large amount of time was spent on traveling to work, which had been increasing from 2% to 8% of the total time budget. Another task which also increased by 6% is the time that people spent at home relaxing. Lastly, the pink-colored amount in the pie charts is the other tasks still remains at 6% in both previous years.
