Essay topics:

The information below gives details about household income and spending on food and clothes by an average family in one UK city in 2010 and 2013.

Total income and the average amount of expenditure for food and clothing of an ordinary household in a specific city in the UK in two years, 2010 and 2013, are illustrated in the charts. In general, after three years, the earnings of reported families observed a remarkable deduction by 4,000 pounds to just 25,000 pounds. However, the amount they had to pay for their essentials slightly increased by 1,000 pounds, around 10%, to 15,000 pounds.
For more details, the proportion of spending for each kind of food and clothes is also depicted in the pie charts. It is obvious that the meat of living creatures and clothes experienced a decrease by 10% in consumption in 2013 compared to 3 years prior. They respectively accounted for the highest percentage of 25% and the second-largest amount with 22% of total household expenditure in 2010.
By contrast, fruits and vegetables surged from 20% to 35% becoming the highest proportion of spending in 2013, nearly double the other sections. Products from milk seemed to become popular in the latest surveyed year, which was presented with a rise by 5% to 20%.
Finally, the other food and beverages remained the same at 18%.
