International travel has many advantages to both travelers and the country visited. Do the advantages outweigh disadvantages
It is true that travelling overseas has become more common these days. While there are some advantages of this trend, I would argue that its disadvantages are more significant.
On the one hand, there are some drawbacks of travelling abroad. Firstly, language barriers can be an issue for some travelers. This tend to put them in jeopardy why they have to deal with health problems or society ‘s vices. Take Viet Nam as an example, tourists might need to pay more than local individuals for the same products, because they do not know Vietnamese language. Secondly, smuggling is likely to become a dangerous problem in some countries as a result of the development of international travel. Illegal commodity such as drug and guns can be delivered to other nations and seriously threaten innocent people life.
On the other hand, I would argue that these drawbacks are outweighed by the benefits. Firstly, many people are able to have memory holidays with their family, or friends in other nations. They have chances to experience famous tourist attractions such as Empire state building or Time square, and make friends with local people. Secondly, a number of countries may receive many benefits from global guests coming to visit. It contributes to the tax system and has a profound effect on business activities related to tourism. Therefore, the growth of tourism industry paves the way for economic growth.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the potential benefits of global travel are more significant than the negative impacts.
