Essay topics:

The life cycle of a salmon fish, from egg to adult fish.

this diagram illustrates, the different stages in the life of a salmon fish, which is a large fish species. At the first glance, it’s clearly evident that the salmon spend half of their lives inhabiting freshwater, while the other half is in the sea.

Overall, this cyclical process starts with laying eggs and continues until they reach adult size. More precisely, this natural phenomenon is divided into 8 significant stages, which take place at three distinct locations – river, estuary, and ocean. On the contrary, salmon fish spend their lives in the estuary for very less time compared to their time in rivers and oceans.

To begin with, in the first stage, adult salmons lay and incubate a massive number of eggs. After emerging from eggs, the young salmon spend the next stage of their lives being reared in freshwater areas, this stage is called emergence. Then, they reared in freshwater to grow further. Meanwhile, the salmon fish is going to the estuary at a steady speed to grow bigger.

Finally, these fishes reach the estuary where their rearing continues. At this stage, they will witness rapid growth. In due course, they migrate to the ocean to be fully grown salmon fish. Subsequently, the grownup salmon goes back to the river for producing their next generation.
