Given is a line graph comparing the proportion of people who spent more than ten hours a week on playing video games in four different age groups over the period of nearly twenty years since 1984.

As can be apparently seen from the graph, the rate showed an upward trend and the age categories didn't change position in relation to each other.

During the period, 15-24 group played the most video games. At the beginning of the period, the figure for 15-24 group was responsible for slightly under 20% in 1984 and then it remained steady by around 6% until 1992. Afterwards, this figure fluctuated with an upward tendency and stood at 50% in 2003, after having reached a peak of higher than 50%. Similar trends was seen in the data on 7-14 and 25-34 group and both was lower than that on 15-24 group. It was around 13% in 7-14 year olds and 8% in 25-34 year olds in 1984, then witnessed a moderate growth of about 22% and 20% respectively in the rest of the period.

Although the figure for 35+ group was the lowest, A significant rise of 20% was seen between 1984 and 2003. It started with just over 0% but grew to approximately 23% in the next 20 years.
