The line graph gives information about how many single-family houses were built in different areas of the United States which are Northeast, Midwest, South, and West between 2006 and 2012. There was a similar downward trend from 2006 to 2010 in each region.
In general, there were big differences in the number of houses built in the various regions of the country, but most of the regions seem to follow the same rising and falling trends.
To begin with, although each region had a different number of houses initially, all areas’ tendencies to collapse were matching in the first four years of the given time period. While constructions in the Midwest and the Northeast had a marginal fall, there were significant and moderate changes in the South and the West, respectively.
When it comes to the last period, trends were beginning to change. As in 2006, houses in the South were at the highest level, it rose to just under 400000. While variety in the West has grown, the Midwest remained stable. In addition, the only one that was continuing to decrease was the Northeast, in comparison to the beginning, it almost quartered at the end.
