The line graph sheds light on the percentage of people visiting Scotland's four different attractions in Edinburgh.
The Aquarium, Castle, Zoo and Festival are the different attractions in Edinburgh. The graph represents three decades, starting from the year 1980 till the year 2010. The number of visitors to the Castle peaked in 1995; on the contrary, the Festival saw the lowest percentage of visitors the same year.
There has been a downward trend in the number of people visiting the Aquarium since 1985, reaching its lowest in 2010. On the other hand, the percentage of Castle and Zoo visitors increased from 1980 to 2010. After that, however, the number of visitors to the Aquarium and the Festival declined.
The number of visitors to the Castle peaked at 45 per cent of the total tourists visiting during 1995. After which it declined by 10 per cent in the next five years. The zoo visitors have increased by 10 per cent in the decade starting from 2000.
In 2010 the percentage of visitors who visited the Castle was more than three times the number of people visiting the Aquarium. The rate of people visiting the Aquarium rocketed from 20 per cent in 1980 to 35 per cent in 1985.
