The line graph gives information about the production of paper, wood and sawn-wood in the UK over a 20-year-period, starting from 1980. Overall, the number of paper & packaging produced in the UK increased, while the figures for sawn-wood and wood pulp fluctuated over the entire period. Moreover, paper and packaging produced the most of the four types in thí country.

In 1980, the amount of sawn-wood produced in the UK was highest at around 200 million tonnes per year, then it declined steeply to 150 million tonnes in 1990 and continuously decreased gradually to approximately 130 million tonnes in 2000. Likewise, the number of wood pulp witnessed a stable fluctuation from nearly 150 to 175 million tonnes over the time observed.

About 230 million tonnes of paper & packaging produced in the UK were recorded in 1980. The figure of this production went up slowly to 250 million tonnes after 10 years, then had a remarkable increase and hit a peak in 2000.
