The line graph shows the global demand for different textile fibers between 1980 and 2015

Given is the map delineating the global need for distinct textile fibers over a period of 35 years, commencing from 1980.
Perceptibly, the demand for almost all categories leaped over the years, except for wool. Furthermore, the polyester became by far the most favored textile compared to the others in the last mentioned years.
In regards to the number of cotton and polyester, cotton with 15 million tons purchased was the dominant choice which was tripled the polyester in size/number in 1980. These figures surged exponentially and thereafter reached the similar level at 20 million tons 15 years later. Afterwards, the demand for polyester surpassed cotton when its number swelled to 70 million tons which was a half bigger than that of cotton in 2015.
In terms of the 2 remaining fibers consumed, both of them had almost the same demand with just a little bit bigger in number of the cellulosic in 1980. Before the year 2000, the figures of cellulosic deflated and nearly bottomed while the opposite was true for the wool. After that, the demand for cellulosic suddenly ratcheted up to 10 million tons while there was almost no one purchased the other.
