Overall, although the viewer numbers of the 6pm news decreases over the year, it was still the most popular show at the end of the year. Furthermore, the increase in popularity of the 11pm show saw a corresponding decline in the 9:30 version, while the 1pm show’s viewership was stable and generally the lowest
In January, tv news at 6pm was watched the most by around 5 million viewers a day. However, this figure was witnessed with many fluctuations until September, where it dropped to approximately 3.5 million at the end of the year. Followed by ratings of 9:30 pm news, which increased slightly before plummeting to reach its lowest point at almost 1 million in August, then grew back to 3 million viewers in December

Remarkably, not until the first day of May was the 11pm news introduced with only 200000 watchers. This figure then soared to fractionally over 4 million views in August, undertaking the most-viewed show ( 6pm ) at that time.
