Essay topics:

The map below is of the town of Garlsdon. A new supermarket (S) is planned for the town. The map shows two possible sites for the supermarke

The sketched map of the town renowned as Garlsdon illustrates two distinct sighting where construction of a new supermarket (s) will be held.

In general, site one is to be located in Northern-West of the town which will have feasible access to railway and roadway. On the contrary, site two is to be constructed in a city centre that can be accessed by numerous households and industries. Anyhow, the first site is superior when space and accessibility is considered.

Site one, being located in the countryside will have no worries about car park. Also, it will have access of vehicles and trains for 39,000 citizens from two cities nearby namely, Hindon and Cransdon, located just around 12 and 25 Kilometer far respectively. Somehow, Bransdon with population of 15,000 might have problem travelling if not by train.

However, site two will have advantage as it is located right below the centre with access to all three regions nearby and it is comfortable for pupil of industries and housing to stop by, but the location has parking issues as this is no traffic zone. Although, people commuting via train will have the proper distance to shop from.
