The maps below illustrate changes in a student’s common room.
The given maps compare the alternations in a popular room for students.
Overall, though the room’s capacity for individuals does not change, it has been refurbished with more electronic devices and a new area for relaxing.
At the first time, there were four table sets, each of which had one table and four chairs, stretching along the length of the room. Leaning against the wall in the western side were a cupboard, a sink, two benches, a microwave and a refrigerator. A bookshelf was placed at the right corner of the room.
After the refurbishment, two table sets of four chairs and one table are still remaining, but the others have been replaced by a much bigger rectangular table with eight chairs surrounded, so that a triangle has been created from these three sets in the middle of the room. The conveniences on the left side have not been altered much from the beginning but a new microwave is in the place of the old bench. At the right corner of the room is a new television, on the left of which are brand benches for laptops and on the other side are some armchairs for students to relax.
