The given two pictures illustrate how the town changed from 1936 to 2007

The town witnessed radical changes with the most noticeable being the dissapearence of the river and appearence of Residental Area.

In the Northeast, many trees were cut down leaving the area empty, the Cycle Path was transformed into the big main road. In the centre of the town, the post office stayed unchanged while the sweetshop and Butchers were demolished to give way for the supermarket. In addition, the Shopping Centre was constructed in the center of the downtown replacing most of the open space there. In the Southern section, the flower shop was changed into the Travel Agent.

In the Southwestern Part, the government offices was removed to give space for the museum. The Golf Centre was built in the area which used to be occupied by the farmland.
