The maps demonstrate the changes of a small town called Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, Stokeford locates in the eastern bank of river named Stoke. The only way to cross the river is passing the bridge in the northern of the town. During the past 80 years, the village has expanded toward southeastern part, replacing the two farmlands.
Starting from the town center, two shops in the north of the post office was removed and took place by some houses extended from the main road. A primary school in front of the post office increased two more buildings behind it. In addition, there was a cattle farm but it was demolished, providing more space for houses.
Moving to southern part of the village, more properties were constructed on the original farmland. In the south of the primary school, there was a large house with a fascinating garden in which there was a giant tree. However, after eight decades, the tree was chopped down and cleared with the garden and the large house was renovated to a retirement house with more buildings.
