The line graph gives a comparison of the proportion of household's electrical appliances from 1920 to 2019.
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that the total number of hours of housework per week, per household declined over the period.
Looking at the graph for more details, at the beginning, the percentage of washing machines was the highest, at 40%. The figures for refrigerators were lower, at precisely 30%. However, vacuum cleaners accounted for the lowest, at 0%
For the rest of the graph, In the period from 1940 to 2019, washing machines witnessed an increase to 70% in 1960, and continue to increase to about 75% in 2019. There was also an increase in refrigerators, from nearly 55% in 1940 to 100% in 2000, and it remain unchanged to the end of the period. The figure for the vacuum cleaner experienced an increase from 50% in 2014 to 100% in 2000, reaching a peak of precisely 100%.
