The pictures below show the process of making clothes from recycled plastic bottles.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The process presents the procedures for transforming used plastic bottles into clothing, which reduces the amount of plastic wastes into the environment.
Overall, there are 13 steps, starting with the congregation of empty plastic bottles and ending with their turning into clothes.
At the beginning of the process, discarded plastic bottles are collected then transported by truck to factories where they are recycled. After being classified, the bottles are cut into small plastic bits in a funnel-like shredding machine and then cleaned by water. Next the plastic fragments are sun-dried for ten hours before being delivered to a cylindrical boiler to be melted down into liquid plastic.
In the next stage of the process, the liquid is strained in specialized tubes which turn them into yarns in various colors. The yarns are then placed into a weaving machine making them textile rolls. Eventually these rolls are transformed into pieces of garment, such as T-shirts ready to be sold.
