The pie graph illustrates the proportions of five types of energy produced in France in 1995 and 2005.
Overall, in the two years, the quantity of coal and gas were the largest productions of energy and rose slightly in 2005. Besides, the figure for the others witnessed a moderate decrease.
Being the largest production in 1995, the percentage of coal was 29.80 percent before growing minimally to 30.93 percent ten years later. Similarly, there was also a slight increase in the figure for gas from 29.63 percent to 30.31 percent in the 10-year timescale.
On the contrary, the amount of production in other sectors underwent a substantial improvement. While the figure was 29.27 percent in 1995, it dropped by just under 10 percent in the next ten years. On the other hand, nuclear and others accounted for 6.4 percent and 4.90 percent in 1995, respectively. In 2005, similarly, the two figures decreased by just above 4 percent.
