Essay topics:

the pie chart below shows where energy is used in a typical australian household, and the table shoes the amount of electricity used according to the number of occupants.

The presented pie chart shows the rate of consumption of energy in Australia for different household. However, the table depicts the vivid range of electricity used on the basis of the number of people in a house. The data for a pie chart and table is calibrated in percentages and kilowatt hours per year, respectively.
Overall, the range of electricity increases with an increase in number of occupants at home besides this, heating and cooling consuming maximum energy proportion.
First, let us look at the pie chart. It is clearly visible, heating and cooling consumes 38% of total energy consumption. Likewise, water heating also takes higher energy level which amounts to one fourth of the total. Other appliances inclusive of clothes and dish washers, entertainment and small appliances (toaster, hairdryer and iron) amounts to 16% of total consumption. Surprisingly, Lighting, fridges and freezers both amount to 7% while standby power and cooking are only 3% and 4% respectively.
Now moving onto the table, it is noticeable, if there is only one member in a house the electricity would range between 5000-6500 kWh but it will range 6000-8500 kWh per year if the occupants double. Similarly, for 3 members in a house electricity is used in between 7500-1000 kWh per year and if the number of occupants reach 6 or more the electricity used will be 12,000-16,000 kWh per year.
To conclude, one can decipher, only person at home is least, but it skyrockets if the member increase to 6 or more. On the other hand, the consumption level for heating and cooling is observed to be more than any other purpose. Stand by power intakes the least among all.
