Overall, it is clear that the percentage of visitors from Canada and other countries decreased, while that of China increased and Mexico showed some fluctuated over the surveyed period. Also, Canada was the highest figure among the four.
In 1988, the largest proportion of travelers was allocated to Canada (more than half of the total travelers). The figure for Mexico was approximately doubled that for China, at 25% and 10% respectively. The remaining 12% is accounted for a range of other countries. In 1990, the percentage of tourists from Canada dropped moderately but remained the highest figure in the chart, by a margin of 10%. The figure for Mexico suffered a noticeable fell off by 5%.
In 1992, the proportion of Chinese travelers grew continually to 30%. A sharp reverse trend could be seen in the figure for Mexico, stood at 26%. In contrast, that of Canada and others has an opposite trend, as the former contributed 40% and the latter was responsible for the lowest percentage with a very small number 4%
