Online retail sales in New Zealand - 2003 and 2013

The two pie charts gives the information about online sales for retail sectors in New Zealand of two different years 2003 and 2013. There were four main areas of online shopping which showed changes in their sales production over a decade.

Overall, sales in travel sector was highest among all other categories. However, after a ten year period the film/music contributed greater percentage to online retailers.

In 2003, travel sector had highest sales of online retailers with 36 percentage. On the other hand, entertainment i.e., film/music and clothes presented almost same proportion of sales to online shopping with 21 and 24 percentages respectively. The less sales were made in stationary or books of about only 19 percent. People were most spent on travelling in this particular year.

Whereas, in 2013 entertainment field was on the top in sales with 33%. In contrast, the sales of online shopping with books increased from 19 to 22 percent. The sales in travels dipped to 29 percentage from 36 in 2003. Likewise, the sales with online shopping clothes also decreased from 24 to 16 percent.
