The pie charts below show the types of media used from 1990 to 2010. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given pie charts illustrate the proportion of 4 kinds of music media used over the course of 20 years, starting from 1990.
As can be seen from the graphs, it is immediately obvious that compact disk was used over the full period while cassette only appeared in 1990. It is also apparent that digital audio became the most popular type of media at the end of the period despite being introduced latest compared to 3 others.
In 1990, the percentage of compact disk occupied 55%. This figure reached the peak of 95% in 2000 years before decreasing to 35% 10 years later. Besides compact disk, the digital audio was the remaining sort of media existing in 2000 but comprised only 5% at that time. However, this number increased dramatically by 55% to 60% which was the highest rate at the end of the period.
20% was the allocation of the vinyl record in the first year of the time frame. After 10 years, this form was not welcomed totally but seemed to appear again and accounted for 5% in 2010. Cassette was another type of music media used in the first year of the period that took up 25% and then was not used anymore from then onwards
