The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The pictures below illustrate the evolution of a public park named Grange Park from 1920 to today.
Overall, the most significant changes in the park were the relocation of a rose garden and seats and the upgradation of the stage for musicians.
There was a fountain at the park centre, but it has been replaced by a garden, with four seats surrounding it, today. On the Northeast side of the park was a rose garden; however, the area is now a cafe. Next to it was a pond for plants, but now the space has been converted into a play area. Moreover, a water feature has replaced the old glasshouse next to Eldon Street, and an entrance underground car park at the Southeast corner of the park has been established.
Today, the park entrances remained unchanged, next to Arnold Street and Eldon Street. The amphitheatre for concerts on the West side of the park, has replaced the old stage built in 1920. There was a reduction of rose gardens now compared to 1920; thus, there is only one rose garden in the Northwest of the park.
