The pictures illustrate the changes to Grange Park from 1920 to the present.
Looking at the plans, it can be immediately seen that this public park has undergone remarkable changes with the most noticeable being the disappearance of fountain and the addition of essential utilities such as cafe, playground and car park.
To begin with, it is clear that two entrance to the park in Eldon street and Arnold street remain unchanged after a long period. Nearly that, the fountain in the center of Grange park has been demolished. When the park first opened in 1920, a stage was built for performances of musicians to the west of the park which has been upgraded into a large Amphitheater to adjust the demand of concerts. At the same time, old rose gardens, except the one in the north west of the park, has been merged into a square one in the center which is surrounding by removed seats for audiences to enjoy concerts.
On the other side, a water feature has been set up in the east-south to replace for glasshouse, near a new entrance to underground car park. In addition, in the right top corner of the map, a children's play area which is next door to a cafe have been established in the same position with a pond for water plants in the first day.
