Overall, it is clear that the southwest airport will undergo considerable developments related to constructing more gates, and more customer-facing facilities including shops, a car hire, and an ATM.
According to the recent map, there is one entrance for departure and one for arrival but there are plans to install additional doors. The departures site currently includes a single check-in on the right and a cafe on the left corner; however, the former will be moved to the opposite side to make room for a bag drop area and the latter will be relocated near the entrance. The arrival section will affix a cafe, an ATM, and a car hire that requires expanding the size of the building.
Security, passport control, and customs will stay unchanged, but the future plan shows immediately upon the security section for departures. The largest proposed alternations are replacing a walkway with a long sky train track and constructing 2 branching corridors that will enable passengers to reach more than twice as many gates (8 at the moment and 18 after renovations).
