Essay topics:

The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given plans illustrate the changes on southwest airport before and after it was redeveloped a year later.

Overall, a comparison of the maps reveals that the airport has a little transformed from being totally being simple to more modern place. Moreover, some facilities will be developed in the future.

In terms of the current airport, there are 8 gates and walkway. The airport only has check-in, cafe, and security passport control as its facilities at departures side in the beginning, whereas the arrivals side is initially empty except the passport control customs.

Regarding the changes in the airport, a lot of gates will be built. The walkway facility is going to be replaced by sky train to access gates. In departure side, check-in point will be moved to the right and its prior location will be built a bag drop point. Below bag drop place, Cafe will relocate there. After pass through security passport control, shops will be built there one year later. In regard to arrivals side, additional cafe will have been constructed that is located between the passport control customs and the ATM. There are also car hire near the exit door. Despite minor changes on the airport, the departures and the arrivals side are remained at the same location as well as the security passport control and the passport control customs.
