The maps illustrate how Southwest Airport is going to be changed under the following-year reconstruction. Overall, the airport will be enlarged to the North, additionally, more gates and customer-centered facilities will come into being to serve the customers at best.
The location of the airport and the executive locations of passport control will remain unchanged, however, additional doors at the South entrance will be installed. In the departure terminal, Check-in and café still exist, but a small relocation of them will be implemented when there is an erection of bag drop. New service areas, including café, ATM, shops and car hire are also planned to be set up scatteredly in this old site.
The North part is going to be modernized into a Y-shape architecture, along with a more than doubling of the number of gates. The old-fashioned walkway will be also flattened in this area and converted by an innovative sky train in the plan.
