The roundabout will get two more exits in the future. There will be houses built around two routes, one to the northwest and the other to the north, and the road to the north will pass via a recently completed bridge to allow us to access the new housing estate, aside from just the countryside in the northeast. A minor roundabout will be constructed on the major road at the location of the big roundabout. Around the sizable roundabout, homes and amenities including shops and medical facilities will take the place of factories. On the east side, a school will be constructed along with a fresh park.
This entire production area will be transformed into a neighborhood.
The following table details police budgets from different sources while the two pie charts illustrate the amount that has been allocated to three main purposes, and calculated over two years: 2017 and 2018
In 2017, the total police budget for the area surveyed was around £300 million, a slight increase of less than £3 million the following year. Of the three sources, the national government contributed £175.5 and £177.8 million over two years respectively, a not very significant increase. Local tax revenues also increased significantly by more than £10 million to reach £102.3 million in 2018. Other sources (such as grants) accounted for the smallest share, at around £38 million in both years.
In terms of spending, the amount of salary paid to officials and employees, although reduced from 75% to 69%, still accounted for the largest proportion of all. Noting an unfavorable trend is that spending on technology, although increasing from 8% to 14%, but is still at the lowest level. Spending on buildings and transportation was flat at just 17% for two years.
Overall, the police budget in that area has been increased in two years, and money from the national government remains the main source. In terms of spending, we see that the amount of money paid to staff and employees is more than the amount spent on technology, facilities and transportation.
