We live in a modern world with many top-notch technology devices. one of them is smartphone, a very common and indispensable thing in our lives. Most people spend a lot of time with their smartphones, including children. And in my opinion, this has a detrimental impact on their health and social lives.
Social media and gaming apps are the main reasons why children are addicted to their phones. Now the phone is not only for making calls, but it can also do a lot of things. Children can use phones for entertainment purposes. That's why it's a concern for parents. Mobile games stimulate children and make them addicted to games. Not only that, children can imitate actions in the game such as fighting, shooting… Not only games affect children, social networks can do the same. Social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok… may contain things not suitable for children.
In conclusion, social media and gaming apps are the main culprits of excessive use of phones among children, and this results in various health problems and hinder children’s social development.
